After Stanage Bay came our first charter boat trip. This time all our time was spent at sea, rather than being land based. The boat was called “James Cook” and handled ten beer swilling fisherman with reasonable comfort. Our skipper was Col and deckie “Croc”, Col was an ex Navy seaman that knew his stuff, great bloke. Actually I had served with Col on the Stalwart in 1972-74. Croc was a great bloke too, looked a bit like Paul Hogan hence the name, always there to help land fish and supply bait. Both worked very hard preparing our meals and making our time onboard good fun.
